A 3/4 length coatthat proved to be rather challenging as i thought i might play with shiny and matt, and what i have ended up using is two fabrics with very different characteristics, satin for the shiny with very little give and crushed velvet for the matt which had quite a bit of give. This in turn lead to all sorts of problems getting it to hang just right ,i think i did the hem eight times before i settled on what you see here.
The coat is intended for a Mother of the Bride who wants to out do the bride sorta coat.
