I have not used the best quality jersey, I must admit, and it is a shame, because this is going to be one of my British summer favourites. The weather has not been so great, so long sleeves are great.
If you do not have the magazine, this is an “easy” rated project, it takes less than a day to make (including overlocking, cutting the patterns and all the work involved). No buttons, no zips. Hurray!
Very simple, but great effect and can be accesorized with whatever you want. I tried a necklace, but did not get to take pictures. Anything chuncky or metallic looks great.
The photos are taken today at The Larks by the Lake May Fair, in Watermead, where I live.
I have accesorised it with a Moschino “cheap and chic” silk scarf , same belt as before (Next) and Clarks boat shoes. The jacket (that I am dragging on the floor!) is a lined jersey one from Marks & Spencer, with silver marine theme buttons. The dress looks great with some silver or beige heels, but I could not wear those on wet grass!!!
It would look a lot better ironed, but I could not wait to wear it and I was running late!
Yes, go ahead and make it, it is also a great first project.
Navy and light coloured jersey; twin needle for neckline and sleeves.
Choose from one of 5 popular dresses.
