I wanted to make a prarie girl outfit to go with the one I made for my daughter. I took the top part of the Jonny pattern and made the jacket. Then I just made a gathered skirt and put some lace at the bottom. I put a dress shirt I had underneeth and pinned my cameo at the neck.

You can also sew a little bit of lace on the shirt sleeves AND around the collar..it’ll give it a little boost as a costume!
