So I downloaded the Melissa pattern because I needed to make (very specifically) a purple jersey skirt for a new Years party. I am not typically a purple skirt kind of girl so today, I decided to convert the Melissa skirt into the Melissa dress. It’s a real nice jersey print that’s slightly slinky which is perfect to top of the skirt. Since I live in cold/rainy Seattle, I thought I would use the remnants to make something with sleeves. I had been waiting for an opportunity to make the vintage shrug I found here & just lengthened the sleeve & rounded the neck to make it work for this dress. I love it & it’s so comfortable!
