I found some so called Christmas fabric, 50% off in the post Christmas sales and decided it would suit a 50’s style summer frock. Only second time I had attempted gathers..they are a bit wonky..think I am gradually getting better at sewing.
I about 20cm (ish) to the skirt length
Oh and I added a Cherry appliqu I bought on etsy

Thanks everyone, I appreciate getting comments, makes me realise maybe I am doing better than I think :)..oh and my poor parasol (and my skin!) doesn’t get to come out with me nearly as much as it should. I might change that!

The dress is lovely, and I really like the cherry detail. I am jealous of that gorgeous parasol!

Thanks..yes I really like the cherry appliqué..must say I went a bit crazy on etsy recently, now I have 20 owl appliqués i need to use, hmmm..
