i made gertie’s portrait blouse from her book. it’s a beautiful, simple top as is, but i changed a few things to make it fit into my wardrobe better. i lengthened the top by 3", swapped the darts for two rows of shirring, left out the side zip, and added a tiny pocket for fun. i used rayon challis, which is tricky to work with but is worth the effort in the end! the blouse can stand alone or be worn with a sweater while it’s cold!
