Poppy Summer

Added Jun 16, 2013

Mykolayv, Ukraine

A light, airy, bright dress. Made by the pattern from Burda magazine 6/2008, #120. As it’s made of coupon fabric, I had to cut the pattern under the line of the breast to use coupon for upper part. I also made the dress longer; firstly, because the dress is loose enough so if it is short, it will look like a tent, and, secondly, to use specifity of coupon fabric again. Besides I omitted belt lops along the front folds’ seams: I am not able to wear a belt when it’s +38C outside:)

Material Notes

Coupon cambric, it is the best choice for the hottest summer and I guess looks nice ( and I like poppies:)). The hat is made by myself, too.

Garment Type
Casual, Romantic
Chiffon, Cotton, Blends, Rayon, Silk

Thank you for your kind words:) I’m glad you like my work:) The hat is crocheted, then I added the ribbon that, actually, had been bought for decorating pillows:))

Your dress is lovely and very summery Staroks, I like very much the fabric and the way you played with the colors. The hat is pretty as well (is it made of fabric?). But the most pretty thing in these photos is your face, you look so sweet!!
