I made this top and skirt for a night out on the same day – I had been shopping earlier in the day in Ikea and saw this fabric in the already cut basket and fell in love with it and for under £2 I couldn’t leave it – I knew it had to be more than a curtain and as I am into my 1950’s big skirt look at the moment, I really wanted a big skirt and a very easy to make short strapless top outfit with a belt made from the remains of the fabric. I have to admit I made this version without a zip I used elastic as I knew I was going to wear it that night . I love the colour combination and I love the bright colours and bold print.
