This year’s Halloween costume. I wondered how I’d make a costume that looked like a bird. Challenge in hand (wing), the obsession began. After several weeks of planning and sewing, lots of hot gluing, and several hot glue burns, my feathers and I are ready to fly!
I used red eyelash fabric, felt (red, yellow and blue), feathers (red, yellow and blue), plastic needlepoint mesh (for my beak and feet, and lots of hot glue sticks. I bought red tights, and for my body I covered a red cotton skirt and shirt with feathers.
