First quilt ever! Hopefully the first of many…
During my time working at a fabric store, I eyed this fabric collection FOREVER. I fell in love with the collection of prints called ‘Etcetera’. I cut so much of this fabric for other people, and the more I had to cut it, the more I wanted it.
My mom calls this a “cheater quilt” because instead of sewing the squares together traditionally, I cut out all the squares then ironed them onto a fusible grid. After ironing them, I just sewed all the horizontal seams at once, then all the vertical ones. This ensures that every corner looks perfect. So I cheated. It looks great and no one can tell that there’s a vusible grid underneath these dark colours. ;D
It is designed for a twin bed, though it usually stays on my couch for snuggling up with a book. hearts It’s so warm!
Etcetera 100% cotton, non-bleached cotton batting, fusible grid, thread

its very cute, I’d love something like this for myself and the ‘cheater’ version is what I need to get motivated :)
