Burda Style For people who sew
Description
This dress is based off the Colette Parfait pattern, my favorite among the Colette collection. I’ve made 2 dresses and one tunic from this pattern so far and will be using it again I’m sure. I used a stretch cotton Poplin in a black and white polka dot pattern for a 40’s and 50’s pinup feel and red rose buttons to add a bit of wimsy. I have a full bust (DD) and the size 12 fit me perfectly with no modifications necessary on the top and I used a size 14 for the skirt since I have an hourglass shape and am wider below.
This dress is so comfortable and it holds the torso in nicely.

This dress is so stunning! I want to make it but I’m wary of the SBA adjustment process with a gathered bust!

I saw a few versions of this dress with a SBA and they awesome! I would say go for it, the gathering on the bust is so simple to do I can’t see it causing any issues for you. This is an easy pattern and by far my favorite. Good luck!

Thank you very much, it was such fun to make. I never made a dress with pockets before and since these are added over the front of the dress it was super easy!
