I used this polka-dot fabric for the lydia long sleeve shirt. Its not the most flattering pattern/color combo on me but it was one of those “lets see if i like this pattern” sort of $1 a yard a walmart project.
I really like the pattern, so simple!
I wish it was a little longer of a shirt, i’m a sucker for long shirts and can’t stand it if mine aren’t.
but yeah….

Love the polka dots! I like long shirts, too. I pretty much automatically lengthen the torso of any shirt patterns I make by 2". You can compare the pattern piece (fold up the bottom hem allowance) to the length of a shirt you like to see if you need to alter the pattern before you cut it out.

That is a cute shirt! The best thing about it is that you can make it short sleeved, tank top, etc. I need to make one!!

AAAAAAARGH, coveting your fabric SOO MUCH, a dollar a yard..! It’s great! I lurve spots, and you did a lovely job, the seams all look very smooth, which I always have trouble with when I attempt knit projects.

umm…the only problem i had with it was the shoulders. they ended up being a little large. to i had to work with it alot.
not really any tips, don’t use clear nylon thread. haha, i used it for the neck and hems, but i forgot about it when i did the shoulders. it makes them really itchy. :)
But yeah, great pattern. i’m gonna make a few more in different colors.
