I was watching Batman: The Animated Series and I suddenly decided to make the Poison Ivy costume. It’s a swimsuit-ish leotard-ish thing.
I looked and looked for fabric in my house, and finally found 1 1/2 yards of green flannel. Flannel was NOT the fabric I wanted, but I don’t get motivation to actually sew alot, so I had to make it right then. I used my sister’s dress form to drape it, I didn’t use a pattern. There are two darts in the front, and a zipper in the right side (fourth project with a zipper! WH00!). No seam in the back.
It looks a little bunchy, but it stretched out a little. : /
I’m thinking about making the gloves, but for now, it’s just this.
I’m pretty happy with it considering I made it in an hour and a half.
I posed with a small crossbow like Poison Ivy has in the show.
I managed to be posing in a tree in my yard in 50 degree weather in a weird costume just as the mail man was coming… I tried to run, but I think he saw me anyway. LOL!
