Plus Size Printed Tunic in Japanese Lawn

Added Feb 24, 2013

by avjames

Brisbane, Australia

I’ve just finished the Plus Size Printed Tunic ( which I thought was the perfect pattern for some cute Japanese lawn I got from one of my local chain fabric store. I really enjoyed sewing this pattern, it was really easy to make and is quite comfortable. I was very happy with the result, I don’t think I screwed anything up for once. I would still like to add some trim to the neckline to make it more interesting, and if I made it again, I think I would enlarge the arms to customise the fit a little more. I thought that with the loose design and natural fibers the garment would be great to take me from Brisbane’s sub-tropical summer to our only slightly cool autumn.
Please excuse my lack of hair styling and make up, you’re meant to look at the clothes!

Material Notes

print cotton, lawn, Japanese lawn

Question before I buy, is it elastic at the gathered waist part?
