This is a jacket I made for my niece for Christmas. It is from a pattern by kitschycookids. The pattern was well done and the instructions were easy to follow, so the coat was pretty easy to make. I made some adjustments to the shape of the jacket. My younger niece is quite girly, so I exaggerated the swing shape of the coat, the size of the collar, and the flare of the sleeves to give it more of a cape feel.
(I’ve noticed I forgot to take out the basting thread along the bottom of the back of the jacket. It’s not meant to have that line of white stitching down there.)
plum stretch cotton sateen, green vine embossed brushed cotton, interfacing, buttons
