I wanted to make a warm and comfortable dress to transition from winter to spring. I bought this Plum Ponte knit and decided to use a mash up of patterns to get the silhouette I was after.
I frankenpatterned this dress from using my Peplum Top Pattern and the skirt piece from Simplicity 2444. Once I’d figured out how to make the pattern pieces the right size it was a super simple sewing project. I overlocked all seams, followed a great tutorial for binding the neckline and then straight stitched the hem of the skirt and sleeves. Best of all – no zip!
