Description

I wanted to make a warm and comfortable dress to transition from winter to spring. I bought this Plum Ponte knit and decided to use a mash up of patterns to get the silhouette I was after.

I frankenpatterned this dress from using my Peplum Top Pattern and the skirt piece from Simplicity 2444. Once Iā€™d figured out how to make the pattern pieces the right size it was a super simple sewing project. I overlocked all seams, followed a great tutorial for binding the neckline and then straight stitched the hem of the skirt and sleeves. Best of all ā€“ no zip!
