Burda Style For people who sew
Description
I’m very proud of this dress. It’s my first try at boning and I think I did pretty well. The only think I noticed is that I pushed the bust down. (I was supposed to leave the bones below the bust so that things could sit pretty.
I’m almost afraid I’m obsessed with the mermaid bustier shape lol

Yes I drafted the pattern myself with directions from a text book I bought online. About 3 hours of calculators, rulers, and pencil marks and the pattern was done. After that cutting and construction didnt take more than a day or two.

hi guy, very nice, I like it! but allow me a little point of critic: I think the bust is too narrow as to see on the wrinkels, the same by the front of the skirt. Give the bra one size bigger and it won’t push down and your beautiful model can keep on breathing :-) But it’s still a lovely design!!!

yeah I realized that. The photo you see here is an outtake the model was having fun but then said “I need to breath” lol. Next time I will ease up on the boning and take it a size up.
