Description

After much contemplation, I finally went ahead and made a pair of cuffed shorts. I used the 6006 pattern which I had altered to my measurements previously for the skinny pants I uploaded yesterday. From the same pattern, i made the sittng ease tighter and more fitted. I also modified the front and back pockets.

The main attraction of this pant is the bright silver pleats in the front pocket backing. It was sort of a little concoction I dreamt up the night before drafting.

I changed the back pockets into welt pockets and made the button on the waistband asymmetric, meaning it was off centre. I cuffed the bottom hem up, top stitched the edge and blased the side of the cuff to hold it there.

I made a slight mistake, because I sewed the zipper on the right, instead of the left which would be the ideal for a mens pant.

Material Notes

Black cotton twill, silver satin charmeuse, black interface, white nylon lining for the inside pockets, button and zipper
