I converted Vogue pattern 8353 into a shirt.
I love this pattern and am still waiting for the right fabric to make this dress. But I had a lot of purple cotton left over from another project so I made a top version.

Ah, I recognized this pattern immediately! I actually just finished making the dress in a blue and green plaid. Right now I only have some camera in the mirror try-on pics, but I’ll post it soon when I can get my partner to take some pictures for me. How did the sizing come out for you? Mine was definitely a little wacky on the first attempt.

The sizing worked ok for me—but obviously i didn’t have to worry about matching plaid…i’m betting that’ll make a difference. I’ll keep a look out for your dress, green and blue sounds great.

I used a smaller plaid than the pattern recommended, which probably contributed to my troubles as well. Something to think about when you make it up into a dress!
I have a few of the try-on pics up on my blog, if you’re curious.

thanks for the link, it’ turned out great, even with the smaller plaid.

You’ve chosen a nice pattern! Looks great as a shirt. I also like the colour but I’m curious what the dress will look like and what fabric you’ll use.

It’s gorgeous! Love how the pleats are on the whole front and shaping the shirt. Looks very figure flattering!

I love this pattern too. My dress is waiting for button holes and buttons. I think your shirt version i s fantastic and I might follow suit someday. It reminds me of a Prada top I saw a couple years ago. Good job!
