Made these shorts after seeing the adorable model in the Feb 2013 Burda Style Magazine. I had bought the magazine for other patterns, but I am not ready to tackle all the tracing the more complex patterns require, so these shorts eased me into that process. :)
Cut a size 42, they are big in the waist, and fit away from my hips and thighs. Since I am a pear shape, the silhouette flatters my frame, but by the end of the day, they did get a bit saggy (fabric is the fault of that, though). Amazingly, they still looked cute, even if a bit saggy.
I do plan to cut the 40 in a stretchy fabric to see if it fits a bit better, and also plan to cut the 42 with a smaller waistband in a flowy fabric, since I think the skirt/short look is precious and perfection for our hot and humid American South summers.

Linen/Rayon Blend that frays like crazy. I needed to overcast all the raw edges, but hey, it taught me a new skill!
