Ann Arbor, Michi...
My friend gave me this fabric for my birthday and said, “Make something fun!” Here’s the result. It’s fun to wear, despite the many mistakes, fitting issues, and cheater alterations. I feel more cheerful the moment I put it on!
I used the bubble dress pattern from Burda World of Fashion 8/2007 (101 A,B). Omitted the lining and shortened the pattern to mid-hip. The finished length matches up with a pattern marking for view B.
Lightweight cotton, bias tape, zipper.
Burda World of Fashion 8/2007 (101 A,B) for the pattern.
Rachel and Freecycle for the materials.
