I recently got some french curves (I had no idea that it was the term in use for curved rulers) to draft the pattern of this skirt. I got inspired by the Bella trousers, the way it surrounds the hips and the waist. Unfortunatelly, I made too many rectifications ( I initially wanted to post the pattern)and now I am lost… ah French curves …What do I do with you with you now?…just stop the camembert I guess because my pattern sketches really stink.
The front panel curvy(on top of the pleats) bit has small pockets, zip on the side. No hem just a triple zigzag round.

very very nice. I like that way of finishing the hem and the curves throughout the piece are very neat, they add extra character to a traditional skirt type.

I really like it, too. The draping is perfectly suited to your body and I think you achieved the affect you were looking for re: Bella! I would keep the French Curves polished and ready to go, have the camembert, and draft away! Congrats on a lovely creation!

I like the design, and hope you post a “how-to” for the curved panel. BTW,does it continue around to the other side? Cordially, Nehmah

I love the seam/stripe in the middle of the skirt. How did you do that? Is is hard to use the French curve?
Jul 30, 2008, 07.56 AMby evulekotule
Your skirt has beautifull curves. I want a pattern!

You look so gorgeous in that whole outfit! I LOVE your skirt, I’m so impressed. I agree with everyone else, I would love to see this pattern up. As always you really inspire me and it spurs me on to do more.

Ok that is it! I am just going to send you all my money and order a wardrobe. That skirt is FABULOUS. How did you learn to use the curve?
I adore your lines. Everything you make is retro/modern with a very tailored feminine look. I would wear your potatoe skins also, given the chance.
Girl….you need to start pumping out some patterns!
Jul 30, 2008, 07.10 AMby ghainskom
I absolutely love the skirt! Come on girl, get this pattern going :)
