Description

I recently made this dress (my first Burda dress!) from October 2009 pattern #119. The pattern is very similar to a sleeveless version of October 2012 pattern #108. I made the pattern using a wool blend. To add a little more shape to my figure and also offset the heavy wool fabric, I created an extra partial pleat over the existing pleats from the bust upwards and the waist downwards. I also lined the whole dress to make the wool more wearable.
(The funny skeleton pin is because I am going to a Day of the Dead Festival.)

Thanks so much. I don’t normally wear dresses (maybe once a year!) but I think this one may have me finding some special occassions to use it.
