Everywhere I saw people making cute capes. And then I stumbled upon this pattern by Burdastyle and had to make my own. I got the fabric very cheap for sale. The other things were not so affordable, but all in all it was okay.
Sewing was difficult. I don´t know what it is, but I have always problems with Burda patterns.
But I really like the finished cape and will wear it often the next month.

i made one myself too…and my trick was to read out loud what the instruction says and needle everything first to try it out once you get their kind of language right its really easy….(well it maybe helps to be able to read both the german and english and swedish translations)
very nice work…i love the fabric a lot

I love Burda patterns but EVERYONE I know has problems reading the instructions- I felt like such an idiot for such a long time until a friend of mine told me not even sewing professionals can’t read them!!! Well done- your cape looks great! (is there a lining?)

Thank you! I always have problems matching the pieces. Don´t know if it´s me or the patterns.
Yes, there is a lining in baby blue. And this was the piece I had the most problems with.

Ahhh, wonderful! This is a great cape… imagine this slightly longer in a burgundy color… with bows. I never get over bows. Lovely! Added to favorites. :)
