I’ve been away for awhile, busy with work and a few other things but I have been learning more about pattern drafting and construction and so here is a plain and simple black skirt I made from my newly created skirt pattern and a work-in-progress cardigan (which I will post pics of when finished). This is a really basic skirt with no pockets or buttons, a side zip and a bit of swing at the sides. Altogether it took me about 3 hours to make and I could wear it to work straight away!

Nice! Hooray on making your own pattern, it looks like it fits you perfectly :-)! I bought LOADS of material, but I still have no time for sewing. Oh well. Anyway, nice to see you’ve posted something!

Pretty skirt ! The fabric is really nice (like the stipes), and so is the design! Looks good on you, well done :)

I was surprised when I read that it was black because it looks navy in the picture. I really like the material you used and the skirt looks great on you. It is great to see something from you again. Its been a while!
