A classic skirt with two double folded pleats and a waist yoke. The pleat gussets and the yoke insets are cut on bias to break the checks’ monotony. The invisible zipper is sewed to the left side seam.
This skirt was featured in the August / September 2011 issue of the Sew News magazine.
Fashion fabric: 100% cotton
Lining: 100% viscose
Invisible zipper

Thanks! It is Burda’s size 40. It’s written on the pattern as well.

Pls could you supply the instructions for the blouse you are wearing on the skirt. As usual, you are great.

Hi tribestrend,
The blouse is store bought, I didn’t make it. However, it is very similar to the JJ blouse. The button closure, collar and bib are made out of satin. The bib is just the front central piece of JJ blouse cut in 2 pieces (the top piece represents a bib), and it’s pleated.

This looks so good on you! I’m sure you’ll have to make a multi-size pattern soon because everyone will ask for! This realy is a great skirt! I think I’m gonna use the bias-detail on the next caro fabric myself, such al nice detail!

Very classy skirt, i really love your work, you are always very creative without being exaggerated (i don’t know if i made myself clear, my English is getting worse). Your creations are always neat and wearable, which is important, because sewing is great fun, but when i can also wear my creations i’m really really proud of me! i can’t wait for the pattern you promised us ;)

You did an amazing job — plaids are tricky — and adding the bias cut parts was a quirky and creative touch. Can’t wait to see what you make next!
