Dress made using Burdastyle 5/2011 pattern 128. Easy enough until you get to the back. I’d do away with the gathered back because it ends up looking less tailored. I followed the instructions and patterns and realized the back didn’t look right. Other than that, it’s pretty easy.
Cotton, 16 in zipper, thread

Hey! I am in love with this beautiful dress, it’s on my wish list since I bought this magazine, so it will come soon. Thanks for the info on the back, I also want to rectify it …

You can re-draft the back. I traced the pattern from the magazine and then kind of folded the back pattern to see if I got the right fit. You could probably do a test piece of fabric to get the right fit before sewing it in permanently. Thank you!

Such a pitty that you don’t like the back of the dress.. Because the front looks beautiful!

This is lovely. I know exactly what you mean about the back. I have that issue. Its such a shame. Im wondering if I can redraft the back pieces. I’ve not done anything like that before but I’m willing to have a go at some point because the front of the dress is so perfect. Thank you for sharing your project… and my thoughts! :-)
