You can call me a dressmaker. My girlfriend Jamie and I are very happy with how this one came out. The fabric was a little easier to work with than the last dress; the result being that this dress has a more finished look.
It’s another bodice top, but this one has an A-line Skirt. I put two trouser style pockets in the skirt. I had never made pockets before; I studied a pair of my pants to understand their construction. Jamie loves how big they are.
I finished the dress in time for Jamie to wear it to the wedding of a couple of our friends.
This will probably be my last project for a while. I’m uploading it from school, and I didn’t take my sewing machine along for the semester. Mistake? maybe…
