best of all, I love that you recycled a blanket to make it… green and fashionable!

Great Jacket! Love the colar! It reminds me of my orange button-up jacket – but your fabric is so much nicer! Maybe I’ll make another one!

i made it up as i went along!! i cut up an old men’s t-shirt and somewhat used that as a sloper for the body and the sleeves. but i flared everthing out so it would be swingy in fit. the collar is literally just a giant rectangle. :)

if i lived in a cooler climate, it prob wouldn’t be that warm since the sleeves are cropped. but it works for where i live. thanks!:)

I love this, and what a great idea to use a blanket! I have been looking at wool to make a winter jacket but it is soooo expensive, and also not all that thick and cosy. You have inspired me to continue my fabric search in the charity shop.

i bought this blanket at Big Lots for $3!!! i wanted to make a nice wool coat as well, but was nervous about matching all the plaid. this coat was just supposed to be a mockup, but it worked out so well i never made the wool one, lol.
