I have always wanted to design my own fair isle pattern, so one morning I took out a pad of graph paper, made a little inspiration collage and came up with this design. Black and white florals that look pixelated (I’m sure they would have just looked like regular flowers if I had used significantly smaller needles, but that would take all the fun out of it….).
The scarf didn’t take very long, and I think fair isle is fun anyway. I ironed the heck out if to get it to lie flat, and gave it as a present to one of my extremely fashionable friends. She had a black coat that I thought it would look beautiful with.
I need to start working on more patterns…. that way once it get’s cold again, I’ll be all set for more knitting.
