H ere is a shirt i customised for my boyfriend for my 18th Birthday Pirate Shindig. I took a standard mens shirt from New Look removed the pocket with an unpicker. Using fabric that i folded into a nautical style I stitched 5 down the front and then hand stitched on a selection of gold buttons from a charity shop. To make the add-ons. Cut rectangular strips of fabric leaving enough SA (seam allowance) then fold two longer sides in so they meet in the middle and pin. Next fold one short end in to make a point and now stitch togethe, then fold the straight edge off to make a clean line and stitch this into the seam of the button section. add buttons to centre of triangular end and you have yourself a newly fetching shirt.
