I made this for the international Talk Like a Pirate Day. I based the color scheme off the fabric for the pants, which I absolutely love!♥
The boning in the vest was definitely a new task for me, but heavens I love how it supports the garment so well that I’m glad I learned how to do it well. Grommets are my new favorite task, haha. // This costume also won me honorable mention at a Halloween dance (in which I was beat out by a store-bought Cruella diVille… but not that I’m bitter! ;))
