This is my second ever garment. My first one was a witch costume that I made in 7th or 8th grade. But anywho, I wore this to go bowling on halloween in 2007 (i think, maybe 06). I really wanted to make my own but was pressed for time, so everything is really rough looking. I stayed up into the wee hours of the morning on a school night and then worked on it up until an hour before I had to leave to get it done in time. I used a simplicity pattern I think, and sewing it ended up being a lot easier than I thought it would be. especially the sleeves. The skirt is a bit big now and falls down to my hips when I move. (It was supposed to sit at the waist so as to not show too much skin on the sides.) Overall, I’m quite pleased with this garment. All of my friends loved it and couldn’t believe I made it myself, which is always a good feeling :)
“reversible” sparkly black/gold stretchy fabric — feels like it could be used for a swimsuit; some black lace; leather strips with eyelets; and some black rope/string stuff
(i’m not very good with technical terms… (: )

Wow, that’s so incredibly detailed! I always have respect for people who can make great costumes because I don’t have the patience for the details. So props to you, this is cool!
