This skirt is my first piece of clothing. I bought a cheap sewing machine at the supermarket in february…after it survived several bags and totes I thought it might be good enough for “real sewing”.
Because I am a sewing novice I startet with a step by step tutorial: The Pinwheel Skirt from Elle Apparel
I didn’t want to spend much money on the fabric because I didn’t know if there will be something wearable in the end. So I used simple linen (the black fabric is DITTE from IKEA). Instead of lace I used some selfmade bias tape.
It turned out quite well. Hey it’s wearable and even comfortable.
