This started out as a nightgown, but it was too short, so I added fabric at the bottom but that made it too poofy. So I took in the sides, and it became too tight around my bottom…so I just got frustrated and cut it into a top. I like it this way…no pattern used, just an idea. It could be tweaked to fit in a more lovely way, but I’m happy with it!
My mom's old (rayon?) fabric, and some jersey for the braided neckband.
just me this time!

This is so cute! I just love the square braided neckline and the pleat-details, I must keep them in mind for summer :-).

I love what you did with the fabric! The braid makes perfect trim for it and I love the pintucks. Happy Birthday!

It’s a very sweet top. I like the use of pintucks.
