Pink Summer Tank Dress

Added Aug 30, 2013

Brooklyn, New Yo...

I saw this pattern and wanted to make it for my niece. I thought it would be easy enough as my first project. I was mistaken! the armholes are so small and making the binding was so difficult and the fabric I picked frayed a lot. But I certainly learned a lot from how to make my own binding to sewing french seams.

Material Notes

I got 1 yard of fabric since being a novice I knew I would make lots of mistakes, which I did I used pinking shears because the fabric frayed a lot and I hated the way it looked so unfinished since I don’t have a serger, so I had to cut the pattern again and redo.

Lovely! You have manage very well :) But if you think the armholes are very small to sew then you can try to sew the side seam afterwards.. I do it on the doll- clothes :)
