It’s been some time since I read through the full skirt tutorial featured in Gertie’s blog for better sewing, and I had it on the back of my mind to make that skirt. Now, I know it’s an old post, but the skirt is a classic piece, and very easy to make, really. I got my hands on some silk fabric with gorgeous color, and it turned out very pretty. The only difficult thing about this skirt is to distribute the gathers evenly, and this could be a little tricky and kind of nerve racking…
Fabric: silk (here in Europe I think we call it something like “choix sauvage”, which means “wild choice”, but I’m not completely sure about it), zipper, thread, interface for the waistband.
