So here is my entry for the Pink & Red contest. I used red and pink plaid fabric.
When I was making this dress I was laughing so much cos it was not turning out how I imagined it would look. I thought it looked like a doll’s dress for a giant and would be completely unwearable but I made the neckline ruffles a bit smaller and now I actually really like this dress!
I modified Burda pattern 7831 for the top part and then added a full circle skirt.
I kind of did this last minute and I worked all weekend so I had no time to get someone to take pics so I apolgise for my self-taken ones! I will put up better ones when I get some.
There is some top stitching along the neckline and the edges of the ruffles are done with tiny zigzags in red thread.
