Entry for the Coats and Clark Pink & Red Contest. I made this dress out of the wrong side of a table cloth, using the right side of the cloth to create the band at the waist. The back features pleated detailing and decorative buttons. An invisible zipper is installed in the back. I used thread as a design element by embroidering along the pattern of the fabric with red thread on the waist band. This dress is conservative in the front, sexy in the back and flirty all around. It’s the perfect dress for Valentine’s Day!
The fabric is a 100% cotton tablecloth, purchased at a thrift store for $5.
