This small bag is one of my first attempts to work with faux leather – this particular one is made with Marine Vinyl. It was difficult to sew, but a good learning experience. I have recently purchased a teflon foot to work with faux leather and it has made my life much easier and I am looking forward to designing and making more faux leather bags.
Faux leather (marine vinyl), ByAnnies Soft and Stable interfacing, a bright orange fabric from my stash for lining, thread, decorative button from my stash, magnetic snap.

Did you use a standard sewing machine to stitch this along with the teflon foot?

Yes – I have a Bernina 1010 – “Anniversary Edition” – a simple, non computerized sewing machine that I like very much – it is a real work horse. It doesn’t do any thing exotically fancy but it does the job. i have often thought about buying a newer model but this works so well – do I really need to have to learn how to use a new machine at my age?

Yes I did. I have an older model Bernina 1010, a very good basic, non-computerized machine.

Thans for your comment. I usually do my own patterns for my bags, sort of design as I go – looking at fabric and figuring out how I can put it together in the right proportion for the particular bag that I have in mind.

Thanks for your comments. Unfortunately I didn’t take pictures of the interior. Will have to remember to do that in the future.
