This was my first “Completely New Creation from Recycled Material”! Can you believe it was just from a twin size bed sheet? I loved the colors, which inspired it’s name. It was a very basic pattern, but I omitted the sleeves to show off my shoulders. I also added a snap at the v-neck to prevent the dreadful gaping!

I love the dress. Guess what i actually guessed it must be from a bedsheet…. intuition i guess…
I also support the idea of having a snap at the V intersection to maintain modesty. Thanks for the inspiration.
I want to make a wrap dress for self so badly, and had been postponing thinking only very curvy people would look good in them….now i really want to make one and shed my inhibition.

love it – i’m a big fan of using retro bedsheets to make clothes, i’m always finding really cool ones in the op shops here in New Zealand… Did you use a pattern off this site?

Thanks estelleperdita! I wish I could find more retro bedsheets…no, this pattern is from Butterick. Has anyone ever told you that you look like Kate Winslet? :D
