My first half-circle skirt from Simplicity 4236. Reviews said it was easy for beginners, so I wanted to try it. The pattern was very simple with few pieces and steps. I still had some trouble making it since it was my first skirt with a zipper. I like the look of circle skirts and will definitely make another one, but probably with an elastic waistband and a more flowy fabric.

Nice job. Zippers take practice no doubt but it looks like you managed ok. Skirt seems to fit you well.

Yeah, I’d rather have elastic too lol :) Very pretty fabric.
