Description

This figure-flattering dress looks really elegant. I was especially attracted to the eye-catching draped bodice. Other unusual details are 2 vents in the back. It was quite easy to sew. I embellished the dress with Swarovski crystals.

Material Notes

I used cotton with some stretch in it. I thought that solid color is better for showing the draped bodice than printed fabric.

Hello my FL friend, I recognize that cute smile. Good to see you here too!

Like the little bit of bling. Perfect for a party.

Hi Franci! So you are here also! Well, these 2 sites are the biggest in the sewing world I guess. It is fun to take part in contests, right?

Thanks! But I don’t have a chance after I saw so many gorgeous dresses others made. But it’s ok, I made the dress to wear at the party not to win in the contests. I really like the pattern! I even plan to sew another one like this.

Thanks! Crystals sparkle so much in the light but somehow any image I take doesn’t show any sparkling. Lol

In this colour the dress looks so different – calm and light! ))

Thank you! I like all shades of pink colour but don’t use it much in my sewing. Now I am glad I did.

I agree with you about the solid colour showing off the draped neckline better and what a wonderful idea you had with the Swarovski crystals that looks stunning gives it a very elegant vipe!! Good luck

Thanks! I wanted to add some special details to it to make it more dressy. I already wore the dress to a cocktail party yesterday and everybody liked the Swarovski crystals.
