I had made two other dresses for Winter Formals at my high school, and for prom, I wanted to go all out and wear something amazing. Of course, nothing I found in the stores matched what I was looking for… so, if you can’t find it, make it! I had my own plans for the skirt part of the dress, so all I really needed was a pattern for the bust area, and luckily, I found it here!
Note: From the BurdaStyle pattern listed, I only used the front part of the bodice. The back, cutout, and skirt were made using an old pattern from a previous dress (http://voguepatterns.mccall.com/v8360-products-8121.php?page_id=861)
It was my first time sewing with chiffon, so I had to go out and buy a special presser foot

I love the draping at the front. Good work!
