I used Merchant Mills Trapeze Dress Pattern. This pattern is really well drafted and simple as you will get anywhere. There are no zips or other nonsense on it. The price of the pattern is £20 but having shelled out I think it is worth it.
The dress is too flared for me so I made a belt out of bias strips sewn together. I think it looks good with the belt.
I wasn’t sure about wearing pink, but I actually like it, the checks make it feel less girly!
