I made these for fun and something I could wear while mowing. I shortened the pants between the waist and crotch, and tapered the legs to produce a better fit.

Thanks Sarah, they are my favourite pants now, very comfy and different.
orangevegie – I am not sure if there is a how to but on this pattern there is a lengthen/shorten line inbetween the crotch and waist. I just made sure I measured, measured again and once more to be sure that I had the right length. If in doubt, take only an inch off and see how that fits. Good luck with it.

I really like your pants. I am going to attempt my first pair of pants later this week, and i prefer pants that sit lower on the waist. Is there a how to on how to modify the waist band lower or increase the crotch area? I am only new to sewing and so far have only made a wrap top for myself and lots of bags.
