I have this group of woman I teach once a month at a local library, its like a community sewing lesson. They are all beginners. This was there 4th lesson, and they all completed the thread catcher in the 3hours we had available. The first project they made 4 months ago was a slip-on book cover. The 2nd lesson was the cosmetic bag. The previous month they made a small apron that fits on a wine bottle, to learn to work with bias binding. They all love this class once a month, since it cost them $1(R10 ) to attend. They are all so eager to learn! I got the pattern from the internet, but I simplified it to print it for the class on one page.
One of the most beloved American designers passed last night. We look back at a few of his designs.
