Description
This is the A-line dress in last year’s burda from august. I made the peplum top version before, which is exactly the same, just a shorter skirt part.
The fabric is a kind of jersey, quite thick, appropriate for a winterdress. I thought the pattern matched the print on the fabric, it gives it a nice vintage feel.
The only alteration I made is the sleeves, that i made a little shorter, to keep it fresh and all.
I attached a (fake) leather collar, which doesn’t look as need as a i wanted. Anyone got any suggestions to attach a collar?

I like the way you match the print and the pattern: it really made the dress unique. Probably to have the collar nice, it was better to attach it in a usual way with a help of facing as if you made it from a usual fabric.

Hi there. Thank you!
I actually tried that, with facing, but the fabric i used for the collar isn’t very flexible, it looked a little clumsy. That’s why i decided to just cut it, no folding or using facing.

Hi Maggie,
I cut the two pieces out of fake leather, and handstitched them to the edge. But it doesn’t end up as neat as i wanted!
