I made these outfits for my husband and I to wear to a party. Unfortunately the pictures came out fuzzy but it looks kind-of “arty” that way I guess. I made the frilly skirt out of several second hand items that I modified and put back together. The backless heart top is a satin bodice held on with 3 invisible elastic straps. It is embelished with giant hand made pins to make it look like a pin cushion. The pill box hat is made of reinforced satin and is shaped like a heart. Again held on with invisible elastic and with giant hand made pins and ribbon and net embelishment. The arm bands I made of a striped knit I bought by the pound. My husband’s outfit is mostly modified clothing. I modified one of his dress shirts to be a sleeveless tailed vest. His pants were temporarily reshaped (so he could take the stitching out and wear them to work again) and embelished with buttons and ribbon. He made his noose out of very fat nylon rope and the pin cushion heart on the front of his shirt is made of fabric covered paper clay with giant hand made pins stuck in it.
second hand clothing, satin, stiffening, thread, wire, paper clay, polymer clay, acrylic paint, ribbon, net, thread, invisbilbe elastic…
